Service learning
Student volunteers work with professional volunteers and community partners to plan and implement all aspects of a summer literacy and leadership camp for children.
This program has two components, focusing on child and youth development aspects with a literacy and leadership focus. The two components include Literacy (6 to 11 years old) and leadership (12 to 16 years old specific to gender).
Gain and utilize various skills including lesson planning, classroom management, and workshop and lesson facilitation skills throughout their volunteer placement.
Student volunteers are also responsible for arts and recreational camp activities.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?
The Power to Be International charges a program fee that includes:

Double occupancy accommodation in a modest hotel

Most daily meals (breakfast, dinner, and lunch at the service site)

Transportation to and from the airport in the host country

Transportation to and from the project site daily

Curriculum and program-based excursions and seminars
