Finding Safety in Self

Establishing your power through self-regulation, boundaries, mindfulness, and building an intentional community

Finding Safety in Self is a skills-based initiative aimed at teaching the techniques required for youths to develop the skills needed to deal with gender-based violence, trauma, and stress. Participants will be taught how to regulate their emotions, understand their reactions, identify how trauma can be manifested in their daily lives, and distress tolerance.

Our target population for this program includes women and gender-diverse persons who identify as African, Black, Caribbean/Indo-Caribbean, who have experienced Gender Based Violence.

Total Sessions: 9

Delivery: In Person

Day/Time: Tuesdays from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Location: 190 Harwood Ave S, Ajax, ON L1S 2H6
